Midland Scaffolding Services were appointed as part of the construction team on the redevelopment of Hammerson House, a major care home rebuild located in North London.
Following demolition of the original structure, MSS installed a fully boarded external scaffold to the brickwork perimeter, providing safe and efficient access for masonry works and a wide range of follow-on trades with minimal alteration required throughout the programme.
The scaffold design incorporated independent stair access and loading bays on each elevation to support safe site logistics. Due to restricted ground space, large split-level loading bays were also installed around the perimeter, enabling crane-assisted loading to upper floor areas and maintaining efficient material movement throughout the build.
This project demonstrates MSS capability in delivering complex commercial scaffolding solutions for large-scale residential and care sector developments in constrained urban environments.
