Midland Scaffolding Services were proud to deliver one of the most complex commercial scaffolding projects undertaken in 2021, which was also featured in ScaffMag and awarded
NASC Project of the Year 2021 – Highly Commended.
The project involved scaffolding an entirely curved structure with no straight vertical or horizontal elevations, followed by a full building enclosure and temporary roof installation. The unique geometry required over 65 individual scaffold towers installed around the perimeter to form a complete support system.
MSS then constructed one of the largest temporary roofs in the UK at 266m in length, fully covering the building footprint, before installing a complete scaffold encapsulation using the UK’s largest scaffold shrink wrap system at the time.
Despite extreme technical complexity, the project was delivered safely and ahead of programme, demonstrating MSS capability in delivering large-scale, award-recognised, and highly engineered scaffolding solutions.
