Midland Scaffolding Services were proud to be part of the award-winning Hams Hall Bridge demolition project, delivering specialist access solutions for the removal of a river bridge structure.
The works included the construction of a two-level floating scaffold platform, enabling the installation of a suspended beamed protection system to the underside of the bridge. This allowed safe demolition works to be carried out while providing 100% protection to the watercourse below, preventing any environmental contamination.
This innovative solution formed part of an industry-first ScaffFloat system, recognised as a world first in floating scaffold bridge technology and featured in industry publications including ScaffMag. The project successfully combined engineered scaffolding, marine access solutions, and environmental protection measures within a highly complex demolition environment.
